我的船是１４尺 （３００LB），２５HP（１２０LB）马达，拖车２００LB，所有加起来８００LB （估计）。拖车的舌头重量应该是１０％的总重量，约８０LB 。用秤量的结果舌头重量是１４０LB。想调一调，但是轴是固定的。打算再把船往后移，但是目前船的尾巴在BUNK外４＂，再把船往后移，不知船体能撑住。问题是 １）船的尾巴在BUNK外可不可以？ ２）加长BUNK行不行？

Tongue weight too low, trailer will sway....fishtailing
Tongue weight too high, steering control will be affected
IMO IF you dont find the steering control of your suv any different with and without towing the boat, then there seems no immediate need of adjusting the tongue weight.
The bunks cannot be extended but replaced with new ones in correct length.
Best to do it in the parking place after launching the boat.

Red Alert...the topic is about weight distribution across the trailer to its tongue, not trailer or towing vehicle capacity

I mean the "factory" should have considered these thing while they sell the boat with the trailer. We have already been studying years in school and we do not want to study everything to have ability to own a stupid boat

Also there are so many handy man....how is it possible to measure this weight at drive way!

Your saying - "everything should be factory set" is absolutely right

From what Lz described his rig having the boat 4" protruding beyond the trailer bunk, I tend to believe the rig is pre-owned and the trailer wasn't a matching original

Measuring tongue weight is a pc of cake.......use your bathroom scale

what the hack, my boat is also about 4" beyond the trailer bunk. what it supposed to be? thanks.

Though the risk of putting dents on the hull by the bunk's end is questionable, however for peace of mind having the bunk flush with the transom is about normal as far as even load distribution is concerned... and rigging up that way by the boat dealer is usual

那图不是我的船，示意。今天买了木头和地毯，换上了。舌头重量８５LB，１０％总重量。

Carpet at LOWE is much better than tire store and Homedepot.

在一个西人论坛上看到这个话题。船尾没有完全支撑的最大问题是马达重量压在船的尾板上，而尾板没有完全支撑. 会对船体不好。所以船尾一定要完全支撑。马达越重越要这样。

关于 tongue weight, 个人以为可以额外在拖车上加配重调整。
