离家前：

1. Motor: Ensure vertical position
2. Motor: Ensure "OFF" position
3. Motor: Close gas tank vent
4. Trailer: Check all tie-down
5. Trailer: Check Tire pressure
6. Trailer: Check 3 safety chains (one for nose and two for hitch)
7. Trailer: Check lights
8. Check fishing dear and life jacket

有没有忘掉什么？

One key item: close drain plug.

Is starter key for console-remote start? My motor is tiller with electric starter. Starter directly wired to battery, shared with trolling motor.

It's cheap to keep a spare plug onboard too ....you'll never know

i already knew.

那天油很满，温度也高，油箱的肚子大很多，明显有油露出来。如果不开有安全隐患。但是在路上可别忘了关上，否则油可能呼右出来。

That's a good practice having the prop shaft geared while on the run..shaft running dry may damage the shaft seal, so suggested some mechanics

"OFF" position means "Kill switch" position to prevent from starting by accidentally touching start button. My boat has redundancy measures to secure boat nose-one winch belt for tight nose against trailer bar and one metal snap hook for backup in case of belt broke due to aging or emergency.

Is that lock in the picture? I may need to buy a similar lock to secure ball mount ($70).

two locks, one for trailer (ball head) and one for ball mount.

Yeah one for the coupler too....
but you can use an ordinary padlock for that purpose

光有LIFE JACKET不够，要有整套SAFETY KIT(防水电筒/电池，哨子，绳子，水瓢等等），还有船主证复印件，BOAT OPERATOR CARD，备些常用工具（screw driver/wrench等等）

又学到一招，还不知道应该打到前进档呢

Check following (if needed):
0. Hitch installed securely to car
1. Swing tongue and lock bolt
2. Hitch bar and pin lock
3. Hitch coupling and pin lock (lift the coupling to confirm the ball is locked)
4. 2 safety chains across to hitch
5. 4 pin signal connection and all lights work
6. Lift the outdrive of the boat
7. Check the tire of trailer
8. Check trailer winch, chain and 3 straps to boat

Confirm you have (if needed):
Life jackets, boat ignition key, Emergency Battery Pack, walkie-talkie, fire extinguisher, boat license and ownership, boat safety devices, on-board spotlight, boat cover, VHF radio, after bite, UV protector, pepper spray(for defend), fishing rods, lures, rain coat
