I have replied to your PM dated "Sun Jul 13, 2014 2:55 pm", in fact repeated 3 times..
But those 4 replies only showed up in my "OUT BOX", nowhere in the "Sent Messages"..
Was wondering if the message has actually reached your end, thanks

I believe the messages (that are still sitting in your OUTBOX) already got delivered.

Well, my experience with "Outlook Express" is: those in the OUT BOX are not sent for a reason... that's why I kept resending

Seriously, what is the status difference between "OUT BOX" & "Sent Messages"?...some previous PM I sent here would show up in the "Sent Message" immediately, I always check to make sure the PM is actually sent..

有三个箱，收件箱/发件箱/已发送

发件箱 代表消息已发出，但是你的收件人没有去点你的短消息，或者有其他方法点了收件箱但是不让系统知道已经看了消息。

如果是在 已发送 ，说明消息已读。

这个功能我跟站长以前关于是不是要添加消息已读功能的需求分析的时候搞过一搞，当时应该算搞清楚了，除非站长后来在后台又调整过啥。

Yes, I completely understand your point. And yes, there might be some issue with this PM system with this phpBB message board. I mean usually (or with common sense:-) when a message is sent, it'd show up in "Sent" box immediately (instead of sitting in the "Out" box for even quite some time). But my guess of the issue (if there is an issue at all) is:

The message is already sent out, but it will be kept in "Out" box until the recipient opens (reads) the message, and/or
It may take some time for the database update to 'take effect' after message is already sent out

On the other hand, at this very moment I see 边走边钓 last visited this forum around 3:55PM yesterday (Sunday) in the afternoon. So chances are he has not had the chance to open up his 'greatest' PM for possible new messages just yet:-)
