Drag is not required for fighting fish.

However, it is VERY USEFUL when your hands are too cold to palm the reel in the following situation:
1) Dip your hands in the water to lift up the once-in-a-life-time catch in the winter
2) Fishing in the rain
3) Your hands are simply too cold to do anything because of the weather.
4) To prevent line overrun when pulling line out during setup

If money were not an issue, I would love having Zepplings for collections.

Just in case if you do not know, the reason why AngSpec stays in Black & copper color is because those are the only available color for Type 2 hard anodizing whereas any other fancy colors would be dent if a dime is dropped on it

BTW, AnpSpec was only $650 back in the days before the market was runined by Kingpin ...
